Now we are going to configure the interface to the specific shipping agent or agents that you wish to communicate with. This process needs to be repeated for each Shipping Agent API that you wish to communicate with.
Search and open the Interfaces page.
Create new record using the +New option
Complete the General tab with the Code and Name you want for this integration.
In the Connectivity Tab
Endpoint: This is the production web service address of this integration
Use Test Endpoint: Used to switch between the test and production endpoints, when this is set to yes, any messages will be sent to the test endpoint.
Test Endpoint: This is the web service address of the shipping agents test web service. This is an optional field.
Platform Code: From the dropdown select the Platform code for the shipping agent you are integrating with
Platform Version: Select the Platform Version you want to use from this Platform Code, there may well only be one option
Note: The fields in the Discounts & Shipping tab are not used for Clever Shipping Agent Integration. This page is part of the Clever Integration extension and these fields are for where interfaces are defined to other systems such as Ecommerce Systems.
Some shipping agents require more credentials than a simple username and password (we’re looking at you FedEx). For those we need to select Navigate, Credentials from the Interface Card page.
Once open you should see a record with no Code or Description with the username and obscured password from the Interface Card page already there. You can then add further entries as needed by the particular service you are integrating with.
