Status Codes are used to track the status of a transaction and act as a quick way of identifying to the Credit Controller anything that needs to be done in terms of chasing debts.
Default Status Codes are automatically imported when the app is installed and can be confirmed as part of the "Credit Control Setup" wizard but can also be updated manually based on business requirements.
Typing "Clever Credit Status List" in the search will allow you to view the Status Codes and from here you can create new codes for your business or edit the default ones. Status Codes are unique codes that can be stamped onto the "Customer Ledger Entry" screen against entries where an action is either required or has been done. These are also visible and editable on "Credit Control Interactions" and "Credit Control To-Do's".
The Code is the information that will be stamped on the "Customer Ledger Entries", Interactions or To-do's. More information on Interactions and To-do's can be found here. The Description is the main description for the Code used for the Status.
The Payment Promised field can be set against one or more Status Codes, so that when creating an Interaction you can identify that the Customer has promised to make a payment against all or part of the outstanding debt. A To-do will be created automatically with the Description 'Check Promised payment has been received' using the date that payment was promised. More information on To-Do's can be found here.
The Queried field can be set for multiple Codes and is connected to the use of the Query Resolution Target and Query Resolution By Current User fields. The Query Resolution Target and Query Resolution By Current User fields can only be used if the Queried field is also enabled. The resolution target should be populated with a time unit such as '1W' (for One Week). This details the timescale you are aiming for to have Queries resolved within. If the Query Resolution By Current User is ticked as 'Yes', this means on a "Credit Control Interaction", the Resolution By Field will be set to the current user.
The final attribute that can be set against a "Clever Credit Status List" record is the Default On Hold field. When you assign a Code to "Customer Ledger Entries" through the interaction process, if a value is set in the Default On Hold field, this value will be set against the On Hold field shown on the "Customer Ledger Entries" screen. Setting this against a Customer Ledger Entry will then mean that the Ledger Entries marked as On Hold will not be included within standard Business Central Reminder functionality or Interest calculations, if in use.
