As mentioned in the Shelf Life Requirements tab, once the setup is complete, Purchase & Sales documents can be created utilising the functionality. 

When entering Expiration Dates against a Lot No. in the "Item Tracking Lines" page, when a date is entered that is shorter than the shelf life requirements, a pop up message will show and ask the User to confirm they want to use a date that does not meet the criteria. This will occur both directly from the Purchase/Sales Order and when using Item Tracking Lines via a Warehouse Receipt and Warehouse Shipment.

Where an Expiration Date is entered that is shorter than the shelf life requirements, a message will pop up advising the user the entered Expiration Date does not meet the shelf life criteria. The User can choose to continue with the short date and dismiss the message or cancel it to re-enter a new date.
