Within Clever Trade Plus, functionality has been added so that when changes to Master Data Dimension Values are made, the system will trigger an update to Open Documents that relate to the Master Data record. 

Changes to the following Master Data "Default Dimensions" are effected by this functionality.

  • Customer
  • Vendor
  • Item
  • G/L Account 
  • Resource
  • Fixed Asset
  • Item Charge

When a Default Dimension Value is changed on any of the above Master Data the system will check for the existing of the Dimension being used on any Purchase or Sales Document Line that has yet to be posted and if any documents are found then the system will provide a confirmation dialog to request the user to confirm whether to update any associated records. If you do not wish to update the existing document lines then you are in full control. 

Note: updates to a document lines will only apply if the current values matches the Dimension Value prior to change, to prevent updates to Dimensions where a user may have manually changed the value from the default setting.
