The Location Card has been enhanced to support the new warehouse layout concepts of racks and floor bins and to make it easier to view warehouse information.
The following new fields have been added to the Location Card:

Bin Code Format |
Defines a set format for bin codes. This prevents a bin code be created that does not meet a defined format and allows the system to determine the placement of a bin based on the bin code format. See the Bin Code Formats section of this user guide for me information. |

Default Sorting Method |
Specifies the default sorting method used for warehouse documents. A new sorting method of Put-Away/Pick Route has been added. See the Put-away/Pick Routes section of this user guide for me information. |

Default Put-Away/Pick Route |
If the Default Sorting Method field is set to of Put-Away/Pick Route then defines the Default Put-Away Pick Route to use. See the Put-away/Pick Routes section of this user guide for me information. |

Bin Replenishment Policy |
Defines who bins are replenished. Options are ‘Movement Worksheet’, ‘Immediate’ and Batch. See the Automated Bin Replenishment section of this user guide for me information. |

Pick Template Code |
Defines a default Pick Template for the location. This will be used if a Pick Template is not specified against an Item or Stocking Unit. See the Pick Templates section of this user guide for me information. |
The following new actions provide additional functionality to the location:
Bin Rules can be utilised to configure rules where an item can be placed (either as a proximity to other item where there may be cross-contamination or as rules of what quantity of the item may be stored in a particular area of the warehouse). See the Bin Rules section of this user guide for me information.
Bin suspensions allows temporary bin suspensions in the location to be made.
Shows a list of racks that have been configured for the location. See the Racks section of this user guide for me information.
Allows the layout of the warehouse to be configured as a visual view to utilised by the Visual Enquiry. See the Visual Enquiry Setup section of this user guide for me information.
The following related actions to make it easier to set-up a warehouse have been added:
Creates a series of racks matching a defined coding format. See the Create Racks Batch Job section of this user guide for more information.
Creates a series of floor bins matching a defined coding format. See the Create Floor Bins Batch Job section of this user guide for more information.
Prints bin labels for bins in the selected location. See the Printing Bin Labels section of this user guide for more information.
