The route page shows the details of the route and can be accessed from the Shipment Management Route List.
The Route Card shows the details of individual delivery routes. From here the order of drops on the route can be managed or drops moved to another existing route or create a new route altogether.
The General tab of the Route Card shows basic information about the route such as the Delivery Area code, Location Code, Shipment Date, and the Vehicle and Driver assigned to the route. The Vehicle and Driver can be amended from the page.
It is also possible see the warehouse details for the route such as the number of picks lines and shipments lines. The Shipment Bin indicates the warehouse shipment bin that the items are picked into. This can be useful if handling multiple routes as items can be picked into dedicated shipment bins for a route/vehicle making it easier to load the vehicle.
If Populate Shipment Bin On new Route is enabled in the Shipment Management Setup then the Shipment Bin will be defaulted as follows:
If using Clever Shipment management in association with Clever Containers the Shipment Bin will be taken from the Shipping Bins function in Clever Containers otherwise if Clever Containers is not installed or no Shipment Bin is defined for the Location/Shipping Agent/Shipping Agent Service then the default Shipment Bin against the Location will be used.
The current status of the route as well as the code description is also displayed. This is colour code green if the current status is in progress, red if an error has been reported against the current status and black if the route has been completed.
The Totals tab shows the total Volume, Net Weight and Gross Weight of the shipment. These values are taken from the respective fields on the Item table. This is used for planning the amount of deliveries that can be fit onto the vehicle. if the Gross Weight exceeds the capacity of the Vehicle (if assigned) then this field will be highlighted red.
The Drops tab shows the list of drops for deliveries and/or collections on the route. See Managing Drops for more information.
The Status factbox display the list of processes need to complete the route. See Processing the Status of a Route for more information.
To see a map of the Drops on the route select Route Map on the ribbon:
This will show a map of the drops on the route.
To see the entries that make up the Route, select Entries on the ribbon:
This will give you the order and item information being delivered/collected on the route. Entries will show irrespective of whether the source document has been released. Only released entries will be marked as ready and be included in the Drops.
It is possible to view the source document be selecting Show Document from the ribbon:
The is will show the original Sales Order, Sales Return Order, Purchase Order, Purchase Return Order or Transfer Order that the entry relates to.
