The warehouse and logistics operations required to fulfil a Shipment Management Route are defined by the Route Status List.  The Route Status Types that are applicable to a Route will be displayed in the Status FactBox:

The indicator against each status shows the following:

Status processed successfully.
Current Status.
Status not yet processed.
Error on current process.

Note: Certain status types may be hidden from the Status FactBox. This can happen if Hide Status has been enabled on the Route Status List or if the status is not applicable to the current route, for example, Create Receipts if there are no collections on the route.

Warehouse functions such as Shipments, Picks, Registering Picks and Posting and Printing Shipments can be carried out using the Process Function on the Ribbon of the Shipment Management Routes List or Shipment Management Route Card.  This will process the selected Route assigned Statuses.

This will progress the Route onto the next Status in its sequential order.

Note: In some cases if the process has been defined as needed to be completed outside of the Shipment Management Route then this action may be disabled. For example, if pick should be registered using the Clever Handheld for Warehouse solution. This is controlled by the Prevent Processing from Route field on the Route Status List.

On the Shipment Management Routes List highlighted route(s) can be progressed together by using the Process action on the Ribbon, therefore Routes can be processed individually or multiple routes selected and process together.

Note: Only Routes with the same Status Code can be processed together.

The Status on a Route can be moved back to a prior status by selecting Previous Status from the Ribbon:

The Previous Status Action moves the Route back to the previous status and reprocesses. This can be useful, for example if there is a requirement to reprint documentation or if there was insufficient inventory to register all picks but stock is now available for the unfulfilled requirements.

Note: The User must be setup as a Shipment Management Supervisor on the Warehouse Employees Page to do this.

In some cases it may be necessary to reprocess a prior Status that is not the immediately preceding status to the current status. This can be achieved by selecting Re-process Status from the Ribbon:

This displays a dialog allowing the user to select a status from any status that has been previously processed.

Select the Status and click Process to re-process the Status.

Note: In order to process a Status that is not next in the sequence, the User must be setup as a Shipment Management Supervisor for the relevant Location, this is a setting on the Warehouse Employees Page.

It is also possible to see the Status history and details of any errors that have occurred.  To see the log select Status Log from the Ribbon:

This will display a dialog showing the date/time each Status was processed and the details of any errors that occurred during the processing of a Status:

Note: When an error occurs when processing a Route, the behaviour is governed by the Error Policy on the Route Status List.  The Error Policy determines what happens if an error occurs during processing of a Status.

If this is set to Status Error are Not processed, the system will still automatically move to the next Status, (if specified).  This might be useful if you have Picks for a large number items and there is an error picking one Item.

In this scenario you may not want to hold up processing of the Route whilst the error is resolved. If the Error Policy is set to Stop and Show Errors, processing of the Route will be stopped and the error can be resolved.
