Shipping Agent Parameters

To successfully setup the DHL eCommerce UK Integration, in addition to the standard Interface Parameters, there is also an additional parameters that needs to be setup against the Shipping Agent.

The PickupAccount Parameter must be setup within the "Shipping Agent Specific Parameters" screen, which is detailed here. You should have received this as part of your DHL eCommerce Account setup.

Tariff Nos.

Also for DHL eCommerce UK, the Tariff No. (sometimes referred to as Commodity Code in certain Business Central depending on your Country settings) from the Item Card is passed through to the Carrier as part of the consignment message.

For International Shipments, not to Northern Ireland (NI), the Tariff No. is expected to be an 8-digit code and therefore if the Tariff No. sent in the Consignment message is longer, it will be truncated to 8.

For International Shipments to NI, the Tariff No. is expected to be either 10, 8 or 6 dependent upon the Shipment Purpose (B2B, B2C, etc) and therefore the following rules will be applied.

  • For B2B the expected length is 10 and will be truncated if longer
  • For B2C the expected length is 6 and will be truncated if longer
  • For anything else the expected length is 8 and will be truncated if longer
