The Surcharges functionality does this for you!
Simply create a Surcharge, confirm how you would like this displayed on your orders (using G/L lines or Charge Items), set a value with a description and confirm when this surcharge is required (e.g. is it only applicable for specific customers) and you're good to go. A simple Factbox on your Sales or Purchase document will show if there are related Surcharges which can then be applied to the order manually or automatically upon Release.
