A Packing Station refers to a dedicated area within your Warehouse where Items are prepared for Shipment once they have been Picked. The activities carried out at a Packing Station would generally include:
- Ensuring you have all the items required for an order
- Selecting the most efficient Packaging Type i.e. the size of box or boxes that is sufficient to hold the Items being Shipped
- Packing up the Items securely
- Producing a Label to attach to the Packaging
- Ensuring that the Package is ready for dispatch according to the delivery requirements
An individual Packing Station record will need to be created for each separate area in your Warehouse used for this purpose.
